1. Residential Houses

The residential houses can leverage their terrace space to generate power. The parts of country where there is irregular power supply, solar roof top solution is an excellent solution. This will reduce the dependency on the grid and reduce the electricity bill as well. Types of Roof top solutions :-

As mentioned above, the solar roof top solution is an excellent source to generate electricity. Typically, there are two types of implementation as mentioned below. This is identified during the project assessment phase.

Off Grid Solar systems

Off grid or autonomous solar systems are installed in locations where utility grid access is limited or impossible. It is also commonly employed in the areas where power grid access is expensive or where there is continuous risk of blackouts. Off grid systems requires additional components like additional charge controller and batteries. The power that is generated by the renewable energy source initially charges the batteries through the charge controller. The inverter helps to regulate the voltage and converts the DC power to AC (what normal home appliances require). Off grid provides energy independence and a feeling of self reliance.

A grid-tied photovoltaic system allows you to harvest energy from the sun, convert it into electricity, and use it to power your home or business. The PV system supplies power to the grid as well as to a specific building, making the utility a kind of storage bank for PV-generated power. When the solar system can put out power, it goes to reducing your usage at the time, or, if there is excess, to spinning the meter backwards, counting down your electric use and your bill. The system is comprised of the solar array, the inverter(s), current disconnects, and the meter. Many systems allow you to track your output on-line.
